Encoding.com Secondary Encoding
Dec. 05: Quick after our full release, we are announcing our partnership with Encoding.com and their Video Encoding Web Service. While our primary video encoding service will remain HeyWatch!, our integration with Encoding.com brings an added level of redundancy during periods where our primary video encoding service needs to go down for maintenance.
This integration ensures that when your community members upload videos to be encoded, that they will be encoded regardless of the current state of our primary encoding web service. This will ensure that videos are consistently available for processing, and profile/media wall embedding.
Encoding.com is built on the Amazon backbone, and was chosen due to it's exceptional ability to scale and flex with the requirements of the video encoding queue it's processing.
