Flash Media Uploading
Jan. 09: The Clearmix PlatformTM revolves around media distribution for your community, and because of this, we felt it was important to upgrade the user experience for inserting new media into your community.
We've been able to do so with this week's upgrade by converting our media uploading process to a Flash/JavaScript combination, supporting Flash 9.x and 10.x. This support coverts between 98% and 99% of the browsing public, higher than percentage who support JavaScript.
Additionally, to help with the diagnosis from a user as to the status of their upload, we've added progress indicators that will help a member gauge how long is left until their media upload process is complete. Most notable however, is our support for multiple media files. Choose how many videos and/or pictures your members can upload at once. We support up to 20 at one time, which will fill your community with media at a much faster rate, increasing the usage revolving around that media as well.
