YouTube Video Integration
Feb. 13: As promised in December, our YouTube video integration has been completed, and we are pleased to bring this new functionality to your community. With our YouTube Video JavaScript API integration, your community will now be able to search through the millions of videos in YouTube's catalog, and embed them, share them, and submit them to your Video Catalog's within seconds. This will occur from within your branded community, without requiring your members to leave your site.
This functionality is pivotal to our overall direction over the next 6 months; namely our integration with third party social media gateways, to ensure that your community's growth parallels, rather than competes, with the larger networks.
Meta Date from YouTube is also brought in when a user searches and selects a video, such as the video duration, tags, title, description and thumbnail's. This synchronization minimizes the amount of work required by your community to categorize video's into relevant groups.
