Clearmix operates on a subscription based model. For a period of 3,6,12, or 24 months, you are a client of Clearmix's. We work together to deploy the applications, serve unlimited hits, members, photos and videos, and make sure that your applications are perfectly branded and integrated into your existing website.
But what's more, is that every new feature, configuration option, application or module that we release during the time you're on a subscription with us is included; no extra fee's and no waiting period.
Inclusion starts with us.
When a new feature or application is released, you'll know about it before hand. Your Client Care Representative will have contacted you before the release to let you know that there is an update coming, and ask you if it sounds like something you'd be interested in integrating into your community. If it is, we have a conversation around how you'd like it configured, and deploy it on a testing/staging server so that you can see how it will be included into your community.
This kind of functionality and walkthrough allows for the highest level of flexibility. You will be able to test new features before they are deployed to your community, and you will be included at every step along the way.
Why this is important.
Many competitors work off the 'release-often' ideology. This can be summarized as the following. They release a product, and very soon after, release new feature sets. This forces their clients to pay a fee to upgrade or have access to this new release. They repeat this process very often, sometimes as much as a couple times a month, which puts the client in a compromising situation. They want the new features, but they feel as though they should be privy to them since they already paid for the software.
This type of relationship creates a level of distrust between the client and company, and is very unhealthy. We focus largely on Client Care, and think it's important for you to understand that you are included into everything we do while you're working with us.
