What are Applications?
A Clearmix Application is a tool for your visitors to interact with each-other. For example, our Video Catalog Application allows you to create your own brand-able YouTube, the same way our Image Catalog Application allows you to create your own Flickr.
We currently maintain three applications, each of which have some similar features, however differ in terms of their purpose.
Why are applications separated?
We've separated Clearmix Applications from the core features to allow each community to be different. If your community wants two different YouTube-like video sharing applications (eg. you're running an annually occurring event, and you want maintain one video catalog for last year, and one for this year), it's now possible.
Each application is treated as a separate resource, which can be styled differently, and have different privacy and security settings from all other applications.
