Encoding.com Secondary Encoding Service

In an effort to ensure constant, delay free, video encoding for your community, we've partnership with Encoding.com as our secondary video encoding service. Encoding.com's video encoding web service relies on much of the same technology, and offers equal performance to that of HeyWatch!'s.
Integration
Our integration with the Encoding.com video encoding web service had many similarities with that of HeyWatch! New video encoding jobs are placed within a queue, and have the ability to maintain the video's aspect ratio, execute 2-pass encoding to boost encoded video quality, and capture screen shots at regular intervals.
Encoding.com maintains a similar API that allows us to retrofit our video encoding library to encode different qualities and versions should the need arise for multiple device support.
Result
The result of this secondary video encoding service will ensure that every video that is uploaded by your community is encoded and ready for viewing as fast as virtually possible. This normally takes between 30 seconds and a few minutes, depending on the size of the video, however will never fall victim to our encoder undergoing maintenance.
We believed that it was important to have this secondary option due to how communities are formed. The last thing your community needs for strong growth is a delay in the video uploading process, which we see as core to most communities we work with.
